About CHG

Cachet Hospitality Group (CHG) is a lifestyle hospitality branding and management company with offices in Los Angeles, Shanghai and Bangkok. CHG"s mission is to be the leading innovative and socially responsible hospitality company in the Asia Pacific and North America, with recent expansion into Cabo San Lucas and New York City. With numerous projects under development, CHG is focused on establishing properties in Greater China, Southeast Asia and the Americas.

Drawing on the 75 years of hospitality experience in our senior management team, and by placing innovation, luxury, personalization and fine dining at the core of our business model, we believe we can create a hotel business that will be both responsible and profitable.

Ultimately, we believe that by leveraging synergies available to us through our complementary business units, we can build awareness of CHG’s portfolio of hotels, deepen customer relationships, and create valuable and enduring brand equity for hotel owners, developers and investors.

Over the next several years, CHG is seeking partners to share in our vision and ambition. Areas of particular interest include hotel management and operations, residential branding and management, mixed-use projects, and retail opportunities that will complement CHG’s mission.

CHG’s ambition is to expand our presence in Asia and elsewhere, concentrating on cities of the future as well as established business and leisure destinations: Singapore, Delhi, Mumbai, Dubai, New York and Los Angeles.


CEO & President

Alexander Mirza

Alexander Ahmar Mirza is the co-founder and CEO of CACHET Hospitality Group and co-chairman of Wahlburgers Asia Pacific JV. Cachet Hospitality Group is a lifestyle hospitality branding and management company with hotel, residential, restaurant and nightlife properties across Asia and the Americas. CHG has offices in Los Angeles, Shanghai and Bangkok.

Business Experience

Mirza has over 20 years of professional experience in hospitality development and management consulting in the hospitality, travel and government sectors.

He was previously on the Senior Management Team at Hilton Worldwide. While at Hilton, he was responsible for overseeing $2BN in food and beverage revenues as well as the spa and fitness divisions, and was a part of the team that launched the Waldorf Astoria luxury brand. He was also the Chairman’s Chief of Staff and SVP at Caesars Entertainment, where he developed U.S. non-gaming assets and worked on the company’s Asian expansion. Mirza was also head of Strategic Planning at Starwood Hotels Worldwide, where he reported to the CFO and CEO and worked on the W Hotels brand and the Sheraton turnaround.

Mirza spent almost a decade in management consulting firms. He was a Partner at Accenture’s travel and transportation practice, where his clients included hotels, airlines, and transportation and logistics companies. He also worked as a Senior Principal in Strategos, Professor Gary Hamel’s innovation consultancy, where he worked with national governments and multinational corporations such as Royal Dutch Shell on launching game-changing innovations.

He started his business career at Deloitte Consulting’s New York Office at 2 World Financial Center, where his biggest assignment was working on the World Economic Forum’s Innovative Leaders in Globalization initiative, engaging CEOs, heads of state and thought leaders of international organizations.

Education and Awards

Mirza has a First Class Bachelor of Arts Honors and a master’s degree in International Relations from Queen’s University in Canada, where he was an Aga Khan Foundation Scholar (AFKS) in economic development. He was also the founder of the Queen’s International Affairs Association (QIAA), one of the largest student organizations on campus. In 1993, he published his master’s thesis on reforming international organizations, including the United Nations, to meet the new security challenges of the post-Cold War era.

Mirza subsequently completed an MBA from Harvard Business School (Class of 1997) and is a frequent speaker at Harvard’s real estate and travel industry conferences.

In 2005, while on the senior operating team at Hilton Worldwide, he was profiled in the magazine Canadian Business as one of the country’s top international business leaders under 40.

In 1992, he received the City of Toronto Mayor’s Volunteer Creed for his work successfully integrating immigrant families into Canadian communities.

Personal Life

Mirza was raised in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA), Ontario, Canada. After attending Harvard Business School, he lived in New York for almost ten years and now splits his time between Los Angeles and Shanghai.

Non Profit Activities

Mirza recently partnered with Professor Stefanie Von Hlatky, an expert in counter-radicalization and counter-terrorism, to launch the Global Security Innovation Council (GSIC), whose mission is to work with governments, businesses and non–profits to help the world travel safely. GSIC’s members include the defense industry, government agencies and technology, hospitality and travel companies.

John Notter

Inaugural Member

John Notter is an international financier and developer who manages and has substantial interests in a wide variety of companies, including Westlake Properties, Inc., and Sailview Associates, Inc., of Westlake Village, California; and Clark Road Development, LLC and Sherwood Holdings LTD. of Sarasota, Florida.

Mr. Notter is currently the chairman of the Board of Directors for Ludwig Cancer Research, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for Conrad N. Hilton Foundation and chairman of its Finance and Investment Committee.

Mr. Notter previously served as a member of the Board of Directors of Hilton Hotels Corporation and was the chairman of the Audit Committee.

Mr. Notter spent 15 years as the operating head of the D.K. Ludwig Group, a large network of companies around the world with major interests in real estate, hotels, shipping, insurance, agriculture, and mining.

He also has served as chairman of the Board for Princess Hotels International, Inc., which developed, owned, and operated hotels in Acapulco, Southampton, Bermuda, Bahamas and the United States.

Mr. Notter served on the Board of Directors of Financiere Credit Suisse First Boston in Zurich, Swiss American Corporation and Pepcom, a division of Suntory Industries of Japan, and York-Hanover, Ltd. in the U.S. and Canada.

Additionally, he was a member of the Advisory Board of Chemical Bank of New York, the predecessor to the current JPMorgan Chase.

Farooq Mahmoud Arjomand

Founding Chairman & CEO - Arjomand Group
Co-Chairman of Wahlburgers Asia Pacific JV

Farooq Mahmoud Arjomand is a businessman, investor and entrepreneur with over 30 years living and doing business in UAE, Europe and the United States. His family background was built on the trading of textiles for decades, which was one of the fastest growing companies in the Middle East, importing from Far East and exporting to the Middle East and GCC countries.

In 1985, he started his career at HSBC as a commercial and investment banker until 2001. He later on served as Senior Manager for the Middle East Region at HSBC bank.

Mr. Arjomand also has significant real estate interests, having served as founding member of Emaar Properties–the largest real estate development company in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with more than US$20.0Bn of assets and US$3.8Bn in revenue and featuring the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, as one of its noted projects.

Currently, Mr. Arjomand serves as Vice Chairman of DAMAC Real Estate Development (DFMGI), a publically traded luxury residential, leisure and commercial developer in Dubai and the Middle East with more than US$6.3Bn of assets and US$2.3Bn in revenue. DAMAC properties offer luxury amenities such as interior design by international fashion house VERSACE and Tiger Woods for championship golf course design.

In addition to real estate, Mr. Arjomand serves as Vice Chairman of Amlak Finance PJSC, a pioneer in property finance in the Middle East with more than US$1.8Bn of assets and US$144MM in revenue, and has been its Director since 2001. He has also been Director of Al Ahlia Insurance Company B.S.C. since March 2012.

In 2000, he founded the Arjomand Group - a United Arab Emirates (UAE) based investment management platform with offices across Europe & Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. Arjomand Group conducts various activities including real estate, manufacturing, trades, financial activities and aviation across Asia, Europe and the U.S. In addition, Arjomand Group has acquired the rights to the Wahlburgers brand for the Middle East.

In addition to his businesses, Mr. Arjomand is active in philanthrophy and finally supports international, educational and other community initiatives.

Mr. Arjomand received a degree in Business Management from the Seattle Pacific University, Washington - Seattle.

Mr. Arjomand is married to Laila Galadari with two sons and one daughter.
